Jamiyah Singapore (Muslim Missionary Society Singapore)

Jamiyah Singapore, also known as the Muslim Missionary Society Singapore, was founded in 1932 by Moulana Abdul Aleem Siddique, a renowned Muslim leader from Meerut, India, affectionately known as the "Roving Ambassador of Peace." Jamiyah Singapore is dedicated to the welfare and development of the community, transcending race and faith. Our efforts span education, welfare, community outreach, foodbank and fostering interfaith harmony.
Key Flagship Programmes
Jamiyah Singapore
Jamiyah Singapore manages three Welfare Homes in partnership with various ministries, serving diverse needs. Jamiyah Home for the Aged (Darul Takrim) for the caring for the needy and destitute elderly. Jamiyah Nursing Home (Darul Syifaa) for providing intermediate and long-term healthcare. Jamiyah Halfway House (Darul Islah) for the rehabilitation of ex-drug offenders.
Early Childhood Education Centres
We cater to educational needs through the following centres. Early Childhood Education Centres – Jamiyah Kindergarten (Geylang), Jamiyah Childcare Centre (Ang Mo Kio), Global Child Development Centre Tampines & Woodlands with SPARK accreditation for excellence in teaching and learning. Rivervale Student Care Centre & Clementi Student Care Centre for after school care. Jamiyah Academy for Islamic Education programmes from early childhood to diploma, degree, Master’s and Doctorate in collaboration with regional universities.
Jamiyah FoodBank
Since the 1970s, Jamiyah Singapore has provided food assistance to those in need. In 2017, we established the Jamiyah FoodBank, Singapore's first Muslim-owned food bank. We expanded our reach with Mini Food Banks at Jampacked@Bukit Batok, Jampacked@West Coast and Jampacked@Radin Mas. In partnership with local grassroots organisations, these Jampacked Centres also provide holistic intervention programmes and initiatives for the residents.
Community Outreach & Development Division (CODD)
Our Community Outreach & Development Division (CODD) offers free medical, legal, and counselling services alongside programmes to build resilience and self-reliance among families. The focus is on families with school-going children and the elderly.
Dakwah programmes
Jamiyah Singapore offers a range of Dakwah programmes, including religious guidance, counselling, and lecture series by esteemed speakers. We celebrate significant Islamic events, inviting renowned Asatizahs from Singapore and around the world. Our signature event, the Singapore Muslim Festival, welcomes Muslims and friends of other faiths to experience the beauty of Islam through talks, performances, halal cuisine, family programmes and immersive experiences.
Inter-Religious Organisation (IRO)
As a founding member of the Inter-Religious Organisation (IRO) in Singapore, Jamiyah is committed to fostering religious harmony. We lead the way in promoting interfaith understanding through innovative and pragmatic programmes.
