Indian Muslim Social Service Association (IMSSA)

The Indian Muslim Social Service Association (IMSSA) is a non-profit organisation formed in July 2004, dedicated to contributing to religious, cultural and racial harmony in Singapore. Through initiatives such as Harmony Iftars, monthly hot meals distributions, festive hamper drives and community welfare outreach, IMSSA brings together volunteers, partners and residents to serve those in need with compassion and care. Guided by the values of unity, service and mutual support, IMSSA continues to build bridges across communities, nurturing a spirit of togetherness that reflects the diversity and warmth of Singapore's social fabric.
Key Flagship Programmes
Harmony Iftars
Held islandwide, Harmony Iftars bring together thousands of participants each weekend during the month of Ramadan, fostering a spirit of togetherness and shared reflection across the community.
Monthly Hot Meals Distributions
Every month, our dedicated volunteers cook, pack and distribute hot meals to residents in areas such as Chong Pang and Hougang, ensuring that families in need receive warm and nourishing support.
Community Welfare
Our youth volunteers carry out door-to-door distribution of ration bags to various beneficiaries, extending a helping hand directly to families across the community.
Edubitez
A weekly tutoring program that provides personalized academic support to primary and secondary school students from families in need of support, Volunteers offer one-on-one guidance in a supportive learning environment. Dinner is provided for all students.
Home Upkeep
Our volunteers personally attend to referred households in need of home upkeep. A strong, youth-based team assist to clean, paint, and reorganise belongings while respecting one’s wishes. Through these initiatives, our youth volunteers are meaningfully engaged during public holidays.
Sports Event
A range of activities including health screenings, mental health talks, futsal tournaments, sports days and more, designed to promote physical fitness, mental wellbeing, and community bonding among participants.
Hamper Distribution
Each year, more than 600 hampers are lovingly packed and distributed to beneficiaries during festive seasons such as Hari Raya, bringing a touch of joy and warmth to families in the community.
Befriending
Our volunteers support inmates and their families through regular counselling, monthly food rations and financial support through referrals from Family and Inmates ThRoughcare Assistance Haven (FITRAH). At Chen Su Lan Methodist Children’s Home, our volunteers are a pillar of support for the children, as they provide guidance through meaningful engagements on a weekly basis.
Working Together with M³+
IMSSA partners with M³+@Toa Payoh to distribute hot meals to beneficiaries in the community on the first Sunday of every month.
