Yayasan MENDAKI

Yayasan MENDAKI ('MENDAKI'), also known as the Council for the Development of the Singapore Malay/Muslim Community, is a Self‑Help Group established in 1982 to uplift the Malay/Muslim community through education and lifelong learning.
Over the years, MENDAKI has played a pivotal role in supporting individuals at every stage of life. Today, it continues to champion the community’s progress through the MENDAKI 2030 Workplan, which focuses on nurturing confident learners, building stronger families, supporting a future‑ready workforce, and growing a thriving community.
Key Flagship Programmes
ReadySetLearn (RSL)
Empower parents, with children aged 16 and below, to play an active role in supporting their children’s learning journey and strengthen the home learning environment. The programme will consist of:

RSL Kit will also be available to help families navigate available resources, understand developmental milestones and access timely assistance from MENDAKI and our partners. The RSL Kit will contain several resources to guide parents at different stages of their children’s development.
MENDAKI Achievement Programme
MENDAKI Achievement Programme (MAP) (formerly known as the MENDAKI Tuition Programme) provides accessible and quality academic support for primary and secondary students, while nurturing confident learners who are prepared for the future. Beyond academic support, MAP includes two new focus area – Enrichment and Engagement – to support student’s holistic self-development, equipping them with competencies aligned with MOE’s 21st Century Competencies and raising awareness on various education and career pathways. To elevate learning outcomes, MAP incorporates AI-powered learning tools, helping tutors personalise lessons and tailor activities to meet individual student needs. In line with MENDAKI's ongoing effort to make academic support more accessible to all Malay/Muslim students, the $10 registration fee for the MAP programme has been removed. Students will no longer be required to pay any registration fee for the programme. For the best user experience, students are encouraged to register using a laptop or tablet.
MENDAKI Homework Café
The programme aims to provide a conducive environment for Malay/Muslim students to complete their school work. Together with community partners, the MENDAKI Homework Café aims to reach out and extend academic support and/or assistance to needy Malay/Muslim students. The support provided is for the English, Mathematics and Science subjects, with qualified tutors deployed to ensure students are able to complete their school work.
Mentoring Programmes
MENDAKI offers a range of mentoring programmes across different stages of a youth’s development, from secondary school through to young professionals and community leaders. The programmes span Developmental, Aspirational, Career and Leadership Mentoring, connecting youths with suitable mentors and professionals to build confidence, broaden aspirations, make informed education and career choices, access opportunities, and develop their leadership potential. Key programmes include #amPowered, PEER Community Programme, PUNCAK, MARA Mentoring and Flash Mentoring.
MENDAKI ASPIRE
MENDAKI ASPIRE Programme is a virtual academic support programme designed to help students preparing for the Singapore-Cambridge GCE A-Level Examinations strengthen their understanding of concepts, improve subject mastery, and prepare more confidently for the examinations. Through structured classes and guided practice, students will receive targeted support in selected A-Level subjects delivered by experienced educators in an accessible online learning environment. The classes will be conducted via Zoom or an equivalent online learning platform. Each subject will have 3 sessions, conducted on weekends, either on Saturdays and/or Sundays. Each session will be at least 1.5 hours long. Subject session dates will be shared upon confirmation of placement. This programme is for students preparing for the Singapore-Cambridge CGE A-Level Examinations.
Langkah Digital
Langkah Digital is an M3+ initiative led by MENDAKI to equip the Malay/Muslim community with essential digital skills and deepen their understanding of AI and digitalisation, so everyone can confidently participate and contribute to Singapore’s digital future.
Learning Journey:
Kenal (Know) Build awareness and familiarity and understand what AI is, why it matters and how one can start.
Guna (Do) Applying AI and technology in everyday situations.
Yakin (Confidence) Build sustained confidence in technology and instil a mindset of lifelong learning.
Ready At Work (R@W)
Ready At Work (R@W) is designed to support Malay/Muslim workers – from entry-level graduates and jobseekers, mid-career workers and professionals, and those re-entering the workforce – to upskill, reskill, and develop the mindset needed to thrive in a rapidly evolving economy. The programme will consist of “Future of…” Series Workshops & Learning Journeys Career Advisory – Providing personalised guidance, mentoring and resources to help workers make informed career decisions Networking Opportunities through the MENDAKI Professional Networks.
Professional Networks (PN)
The Professional Network allows professionals to learn from sharing sessions with industry experts as well as organisation representatives. These engagements are planned throughout the year to support professionals in growing their networks and facilitate their contribution efforts to the community. Professionals are welcome to join us as a: Volunteer as a Mentor for our Empowerment Programme, Coach for our Malay/Muslim students and speakers at our events.
Community Leaders Forum (CLF) Grant
The Community Leaders Forum (CLF) brings together policy makers, community leaders and partners to strengthen collective efforts in supporting the Malay/Muslim community in Singapore. Established in 2003, CLF serves as a platform for collaboration, dialogue and knowledge-sharing to address evolving community needs and build sustainable community solutions. By fostering partnerships and aligning resources, CLF aims to create greater impact through coordinated community action and shared responsibility.
Tunas Bersama M3+
A leadership development programme that equips participants with the competencies, networks and experiences needed to contribute effectively at both the community and national levels.
