Muhammadiyah Association

Muhammadiyah Association is a Muslim charitable organisation established in 1957 and registered under the Charities Act. Guided by the principle of “enjoining what is good and forbidding what is evil", Muhammadiyah contributes to Singapore through its educational, welfare, religious, and community development programmes, supporting individuals and families across all stages of life.
Key Flagship Programmes
Dakwah and Community Development
Muhammadiyah promotes Islamic learning and community development through the professional development of asatizah, free religious classes and educational programmes, the promotion of positive moral values and character building, efforts to counter extremism and promote social harmony, as well as initiatives that address contemporary societal and community issues.
Welfare and Social Services
Muhammadiyah provides a comprehensive range of welfare and social services, including assistance to low-income families and underprivileged students, jenazah management services, foster care services through Projek Sinar Ihsan, residential care through Muhammadiyah Welfare Home (MWH), healthcare and rehabilitation support through Muhammadiyah Health & Day Care Centre (MHCC), active ageing programmes through the Muhammadiyah Active Aging Centre (MAAC), and Advance Care Planning (ACP) services to support individuals and families in making informed future care decisions.
Education
Muhammadiyah provides educational opportunities across different stages of learning through its network of institutions and programmes, including Muhammadiyah Kindergarten, KABA Weekend Madrasah, Madrasah Al-Arabiah Al-Islamiah, and Muhammadiyah Islamic College. Muhammadiyah also supports educational advancement through the Biasiswa Muhammadiyah (Scholarship) programme, which assists students in pursuing their academic aspirations.
Working Together with M³+
Muhammadiyah collaborates with M³+ partners and stakeholders to support the Malay/Muslim community through programmes in education, youth and family development, social assistance, and community outreach. It also participates in key M³+ initiatives, strengthening partnerships and community resilience, with examples including the M³+ Forum (10 Nov 2024), the M³+ Post-Budget Dialogue Sessions (9 & 22 Mar 2025), and the M³+ Youth Festival (12 Jul 2025, Wisma Geylang Serai).
