MudaSG

MudaSG is a youth-led organisation, run 100% by volunteers from top to bottom. We are committed to empowering our young Malay/Muslim people (mainly aged 13-25) to create meaningful impact in society. Established in 2021, MudaSG has a network of over 1,600 registered youth volunteers islandwide who have run over 50 community initiatives spanning a range of causes, including environmental sustainability, support for underprivileged families, children with special needs and even our domestic/migrant workers.
Key Flagship Programmes
Bazaar Bestari
Started in 2021, Bazaar Bestari is MudaSG's signature annual event where gently used Hari Raya clothing are collected through donation drives organised by students at their schools. Brand new clothing and items are also collected from brands or through infaq. All these items are then put together in a bazaar format and environment where underprivileged Malay/Muslim families will have the experience of picking out the items. A henna booth run by volunteers is also available for the families.
Pre-Ramadan Mosque Spring Cleaning
For the past 6 years, MudaSG has worked with our mosques to provide opportunities for our muslim youths to give back and clean our mosques in preparation for Ramadan. This exposure aims to also introduce mosques in Singapore to the younger generation.
KayakNKlean
A flash mentoring initiative where student-athletes provide guidance to our younger ones, followed by a clean-up initiative where youths are exposed to the environmental issues faced by our waters.
LEPARK
A "santai" youth networking event where residents from homes are welcomed to spend time in sports competitions, making crafts, watching performances and listening to dialogues by renowned and accomplished youths. This initiative aims to integrate youths from all backgrounds.
Volunteer Welfare Bonding Initiatives
Organised by the Welfare Committee, MudaSG organises bonding activities such as Beach Day, Walks/Bowling/Basketball, Discord Game/Movie Nights, Jalan Raya, so as to create a safe space for informal befriending and networking amongst our registered youth volunteers.
Belajar Bersama
A 1-to-1 Malay Language tutoring programme run by tertiary-level student volunteers for students referred by MSF/FSCs, etc.
Other projects
Sports Day with Muhammadiyah Welfare Home Boys, Family Day with MIJHub, Brighten Our Block (Estate Cleanup with Stridy), Be Our Guests (Volleyball and Ballroom Dinner for our Migrant/Domestic Workers), Mural Painting, Fundraisers (MudaSG Jersey Sales for Gaza collaboration with Mercy Relief, Umrah For Palestinian Orphans collaboration with Launchgood, Concert Fundraiser for beneficiaries such as Muhammdiyah Welfare Home), Buka Puasa with PERTAPIS and Darul Ihsan.
Working Together with M³+
The majority of MudaSG's initiatives have been made possible through collaboration with our M³+@Towns, including M³+@Bedok, M³+@Chua Chu Kang, M³+@Geylang Serai, M³+@Jalan Besar, M³+@Nee Soon, M³+@Pasir Ris-Changi, M³+@Tampines, and M³+@Woodlands.
